Sunrise for All Beings

Matthew 5:45 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 5 in context

Scripture Focus

45That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.
Matthew 5:45

Biblical Context

God’s Fatherhood is universal. The sun rises for everyone, and rain falls on the just and unjust alike.

Neville's Inner Vision

To Jesus’ words I answer in the currency of your own consciousness: you are the Father’s child because you are the I AM in form. The sun that rises on the evil and on the good is a symbol of your unconditioned awareness, always available regardless of appearances. When you realize that the same consciousness lights the unjust as it lights the just, you awaken from the illusion of separation. Providence becomes intimate practice: you are guided not by an external circumstance but by the inner decree you utter in stillness. Mercy and grace are your inner weather reports, pointing to a universal benevolence you choose to align with. If anger or fear arises, revise by declaring silently: I am the I AM, and this awareness is the source of all appearances; as I align with that I AM, the inner weather shifts, and outward events reflect gentleness. The verse thus invites you to live from the oneness you already are.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and affirm, 'I am the I AM.' Then picture the sun rising across your life and rain watering every scene, friend or foe alike, and feel that you are the one who grants that weather to all.
