Blessed in Persecution: Inner Reward

Matthew 5:11-12 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 5 in context

Scripture Focus

11Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
12Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.
Matthew 5:11-12

Biblical Context

You are blessed when people revile you and persecute you for your faith; rejoice, for your reward in heaven is great, just as the prophets were persecuted before you.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice that the Beatitude is a statement of state, not of distant fate. When you are reviled or persecuted for my name, you are pressed to return to the I AM you are. The ‘reward in heaven’ is not a future place but the felt presence of your divine state here and now—the heaven your mind imagines as real. The prophets endured because they would not compromise their inner vision; you share that truth, and your inner world shifts in proportion to your unwavering conviction. The kingdom of God lies within; persecution becomes the pressure that squeezes your former self into the image of your true being. Rejoice not in the attack but in the transformation it invites, for it awakens you to the infinite power you already are.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: in a quiet moment, assume the feeling of the I AM as your own; revise the persecution scene by declaring, 'I am blessed now; my reward is heaven within,' and feel that inner heaven radiate through your mind, heart, and every encounter.
