Kingdom Within Now
Matthew 4:23-25 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Matthew 4 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus moves through Galilee, teaching in synagogues, proclaiming the kingdom, and healing every sickness. Large crowds follow from many regions as word of him spreads.
Neville's Inner Vision
All the events in Matthew 4:23-25 are not external acts apart from you, but echoes of a state of consciousness awakening. The kingdom is not a distant land but the I AM waking within you, the constant awareness through which teaching, preaching, and healing flow. When Jesus teaches and heals, he is the inner mood rising into light, lifting the fear and limitation that call sickness into form. As your attention rests on this inner state, the fears, torments, and doubts are seen as translations of a false self, dissolving in the radiance of the kingdom. The great multitudes who follow become the many facets of your own mind drawn to the realization 'I am consciousness, I am the kingdom.' The external healing and gathering are simply the outward sign of an inward verdict: I am the kingdom, and the kingdom is within me, now.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume, 'I am within the kingdom now.' Stay with the felt sense of health and wholeness until it becomes your predominant awareness, then move with the conviction that this inner state is shaping your outer experience.
