Biblical Context
Matthew 4:13 records Jesus leaving Nazareth to dwell in Capernaum by the sea, signaling a move that mirrors an inner change in consciousness. It points to a shifting landscape inside, where geography becomes a picture of the mind's states.
Neville's Inner Vision
Notice that Nazareth and Capernaum are not mere places, but states of consciousness. Nazareth represents the safe, familiar sense of self; Capernaum—the coastland dwelling near the sea—speaks of a borderland where awareness meets the vast sea of possibilities. In this inner geography, the movement is not a travel token but a revision in being: you awaken to a new center of I AM, where the mind stands at the edge of the old and looks out toward a broader horizon. The borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim signify the mind’s districts awaiting integration; when you reinterpret them as inner dispositions, you see that the relocation is complete as soon as you acknowledge, I AM, that you are already dwelling there. The command is inward: imagine and feel from that new locale; let the old Nazareth fade, and inhabit the consciousness that sees life from the coast of awareness. Your power is not in travel but in taking up residence within the new inner map.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and revise: I am dwelling in Capernaum, within the I AM; Nazareth’s old self dissolves. Feel the coast of awareness as your present, tangible landscape.
