Biblical Context
In Matthew 28:16-20, the eleven meet Jesus on a mountain, worship him though some doubt, and receive the commission to go into all nations, baptize, teach obedience, and know he is with them always.
Neville's Inner Vision
On the inner map, the mountain is your higher consciousness, and the eleven are your awake faculties gathering in the light. When you see Jesus, you worship the Self you are; doubt appears as a ghost from past images, not a truth restraining your power. Jesus speaks: all power is given to me in heaven and earth—the phrase is not about external control, but an inner recognition of your oneness with the I AM. Go therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching is the consistent renewing of you with new inner truths, baptizing means immersing every old belief in the presence of God, and all three names signify different facets of consciousness under one Spirit. And lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world: Amen—this is the assurance that your inner life can be aligned from now to forever. The commission is an invitation to live from that inner authority, to let your feeling-heart lead your words and deeds, and to stand in the certainty that you are never separate from the divine.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: Sit, close your eyes, feel the I AM within as the mountain; declare the sentence and imagine yourself teaching and baptizing in inner truth, while sensing 'I am with you always' as your constant companionship.
