Inner Witness of Resurrection

Matthew 28:11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 28 in context

Scripture Focus

11Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.
Matthew 28:11

Biblical Context

Some of the watch guard depart and report to the chief priests all that had occurred.

Neville's Inner Vision

The ‘watch’ is a state of consciousness, the vigilance of thought. When they were going, awareness moved toward outward events, yet a portion of that watch entered the inner city and reported to the chief priests—your egoic mind and its old authorities. ‘All the things that were done’ are the inner movements—shifts in feeling, quiet awakenings, a rearrangement of belief within your imagination. The report is not a history told by others; it is a signal of where your belief-energy is anchored. If you now hold the assumption that the I AM, Life itself, has risen within you, you revise the tale: the guard’s message becomes confirmation that a new life has taken root in consciousness. Let the Kingdom of God be your present awareness; feel its reality now, and let the old priestly voice bow to the newfound life. You are the watcher, the report, and the king within one.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit in stillness and repeat, "I AM the risen life here and now," imagining the watch reporting a new birth to your mind until the feeling is real.
