Hour of Inner Betrayal Awakening

Matthew 26:45-46 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 26 in context

Scripture Focus

45Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
46Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.
Matthew 26:45-46

Biblical Context

Jesus tells the disciples to sleep because the hour of his betrayal is near. He then commands them to rise and go, for the betrayer is at hand.

Neville's Inner Vision

Matthew 26:45-46 is a map of consciousness, not a history lesson. The hour is the moment your sense of separation is challenged; the betrayal is the appearance of fear or doubt within your mind. The Son of Man is the I AM—the awake presence that cannot be undone by appearances. Sleep on now is the invitation to surrender to a limited sense of self; rise is the act of shifting your inner stance and moving with the certainty that you are guided. When you say the betrayer is at hand, you see the betrayal as a signal to revise your assumption. The practice is to assume the state of divine guidance, revise the scene in imagination, and feel it real until trust overcomes fear. The hour, then, is Providence inviting you to act from inner sovereignty.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, breathe, and assume I am guided by the I AM now. Then revise a current scene of fear into one of divine direction, and feel it real until the certainty remains.
