Neville's Inner Vision
Matthew 26:3–5 mirrors the inner court of my mind. The chief priests, scribes, and elders are not distant men but the voices and habits within who fear losing control. They assemble in the palace of the high priest—the throne of my dominant story—and counsel cunning moves to 'kill' the truth of who I am. The plan to act 'subtly' is the ego’s refinement of fear, a way to keep appearances intact while denying the reality of the I AM. The feast day—the time of joy and abundance—becomes a screen upon which they fear uproar if the truth were allowed to surface. Yet the I AM cannot be slain; it is the living, breathing consciousness behind perception. When I understand that these conspirators are but states of consciousness, I can revise them. I stand in the awareness that I AM and nothing else commands this scene; I command the stage, not the fear. I feel the truth replacing scheming with harmony, and the rulers of my inner temple bow to the light of the I AM, dissolving the plot in the glow of realization.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Assume I AM now; revise the inner council by affirming, 'I AM the power that governs this temple, and no fear-made plot can prevail.' Feel it real for a few minutes.
