Inner Covenant Blood

Matthew 26:28 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 26 in context

Scripture Focus

28For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Matthew 26:28

Biblical Context

Matthew 26:28 speaks of Jesus’ blood of the new testament shed for many for the remission of sins; Neville's reading sees the blood as the life-energy within consciousness, and the new covenant as a shift in self-identity.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through the I AM lens, this verse is not about external ritual but about the breathing of your own awareness. The 'blood' is the life-force that sustains your inner being; the 'new testament' is a new agreement you entertain with the reality that you are one with God, not a sinner divided from the Father. 'Shed for many' speaks to all the states of consciousness that have believed themselves separate, including fear, guilt, and limitation. The remission of sins is the inward remission of those false identifications, a clearing of the story that you are other than the One. When you accept the inner covenant, you are already forgiven; forgiveness becomes the natural memory of your unity. Your world then appears in harmony with that sovereign state, as if the blood of your inner life is continually sealing you to the truth that you are the I AM, here and now.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and feel the inner life-energy as the blood of the new covenant flowing through you. Revise the sense of separation by affirming, 'I AM one with God; I am forgiven now.'
