Matthew 26:14-16

Biblical Context

Judas, one of the twelve, asks the chief priests what they will give him to betray Jesus; they covenant on thirty pieces of silver, and he begins to seek the right moment.

Neville's Inner Vision

Judas is not merely a man, but a state of consciousness I recognize within. In this inner drama, the self that craves external recognition calls out to the priests and asks, What will ye give me? The thirty pieces of silver symbolize counterfeit currency—the belief that wealth can purchase safety, that approval justifies action, and that loyalty to a false self is strength. The covenant with the priests is my mind signing a contract with a belief system that trades truth for convenience. From that time I seek opportunities to betray my higher nature, to barter awareness for a quick payoff. This inner scene is an inner rehearsal, a dream of a divided self. By changing the state I inhabit, I dissolve the need for external favors. I return to the I AM, the unchanging awareness that requires nothing from without and everything from within. I reclaim my power by aligning with my true vocation, not the price offered by fear.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and witness the urge to barter for approval. Then repeat, I Am Wealth and Loyalty to my higher Self, feel it-real as inner abundance replacing the lure of silver.
