Matthew 25:31-33 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 25 in context

Scripture Focus

31When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Matthew 25:31-33

Biblical Context

Jesus presents a final judgment as an inner discernment: the Son of Man separates people like a shepherd, assigning the righteous to the right and the unrighteous to the left. This separation mirrors inner states of consciousness, not external fate.

Neville's Inner Vision

Think of the Son of Man not as a distant judge, but as your I AM, the living awareness that sits on the throne of your consciousness. The glory is the brightness of awareness when you consent to the truth you already are. All nations gathered before him symbolize every facet of you—every thought, memory, desire, and fear. The act of separating sheep from goats is the inner discipline of distinguishing states that serve you from those that do not. The sheep on the right are those habits of tenderness, justice, and compassion you continually nurture in imagination and action; the goats on the left are neglects, fear-based reactions, and excuses that keep you small. When you dwell in the awareness of the I AM and refuse to identify with lack, limitation or guilt, you set your right hand. The judgment you fear becomes simply a revision of your sense of self—an inward decree that you are already the one crowned with glory, and your world must conform to that truth. This is not punishment but alignment: your inner king comes to assume the seat and the kingdom follows in your experience.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly and declare, I AM the Son of Man on the throne of my life. Visualize yourself as the one on the right, feel the warmth of justified authority, and revision memories of lack into a scene where you already possess what you seek.
