Inner Talents, Outer Joy
Matthew 25:20-23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Matthew 25 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Faithful stewardship of given gifts is praised, and the faithful are rewarded with greater responsibility and the joy of the lord.
Neville's Inner Vision
Think of the five talents as inner capacities placed in your care by the I AM. The two who doubled them did not earn a new creation; they lived in alignment with the state of abundance they already carried. The lord’s word—Well done, good and faithful servant—speaks not of the past action alone, but of the inner condition that brought it forth. In truth, you are the master and the servant is the same you, waking to its possibilities as you refuse to count your present gifts as mere coins. Faithfulness over a few things is simply consistency in imagination, the habit of tending the small seeds of your mind until they become branches bearing fruit. When you enter into the joy of thy lord, you enter the inner joy of realizing that every gift was yours from the I AM to begin with; your prosperity is the natural expression of your awareness. The expansion you seek is already within you; you need only hold the vision and feel it real.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes and assume you have five talents; see them multiplying as you invest them with love. Feel the joy now, knowing the I AM approves.
