Inner Stewardship of Gifts

Matthew 25:14-15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 25 in context

Scripture Focus

14For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.
15And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.
Matthew 25:14-15

Biblical Context

The parable shows a master entrusting goods to his servants, giving each according to their ability, and then traveling.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within the parable, the 'kingdom of heaven' is not distant but the very state of your awareness. The man who travels is the I AM within you, leaving your inner goods in charge; the five, two, and one talents are the capacities you carry in consciousness. The clause 'to every man according to his own ability' reveals that your gift aligns with your present state of feeling. If you dwell in lack, you will awaken to only a small beginning; if you awaken to abundance and invest wisely, those inner goods grow. Your work is stewardship: invest your God-given faculties into daily life, cultivate belief, and act from the assumption that you already possess the fruits of their exercise. The journey you imagine is not distant but a shift in mind. When you imagine and feel as a fully equipped person, those gifts multiply in experience—tests become proofs of inner provision. The master’s departure simply marks the freedom to live from your own consciousness, not the absence of provision.

Practice This Now

Assume the role of the master in your life and spend a few minutes feeling that your talents are already increased. Revise any lack-based belief by stating, 'I AM fully supplied; my gifts multiply as I invest them.'
