Scripture Focus

10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
Matthew 25:10-12

Biblical Context

The parable contrasts the ready and the unready virgins: those who maintain inner readiness enter the feast, while those who delay miss entry when the bridegroom arrives.

Neville's Inner Vision

Matthew 25:10-12 invites us to see the bridegroom as the I AM within, the living awareness that makes every dream feel possible. The wise virgins who were ready represent a state of consciousness that has already acknowledged the unseen as real; they do not seek permission from without, but dwell in the inner permission of God within. The others, who went to buy, symbolize minds chasing external conditions—waiting for a future provision—until the moment arrives and the door closes on a dream not yet truly claimed. When the cry, 'Lord, Lord, open to us' rises, the voice within answers, 'I know you not' because there is no felt recognition of the inner state. The kingdom of God therefore is not a distant event but an inner condition that you realize by aligning your imagination with the wish fulfilled. The seeming judgment is the clearing of doubt and the confirmation that you are already known to the I AM, and therefore already inside the feast.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume you are already inside the feast; dwell in that inner reality and feel it real. Silently affirm, 'I am known by the I AM; I am ready; the door is open to me now,' and remain there for a few minutes.
