Inner Conflicts, Inner Kingdom

Matthew 24:7 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 24 in context

Scripture Focus

7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
Matthew 24:7

Biblical Context

Matthew 24:7 describes outer conflicts, but Neville teaches that 'nations' and 'kingdoms' are inner states. The upheavals are inner movements revealing what you believe about reality.

Neville's Inner Vision

Scripture is a map of your own consciousness. When Jesus speaks of nations rising against nations and kingdoms against kingdoms, he is describing the competing orders of thought within you. A famine is the sense of lack you feel when attention identifies with limitation; a pestilence is fear and doubt spreading through the mind; an earthquake is the collapse of old beliefs when a newer awareness takes hold. These disturbances appear wherever you harbor a mind not yet yielded to the I AM that you are. Instead of fearing them, view them as weather in your inner atmosphere. By choosing a state -- peace, abundance, unity -- you birth a new kingdom. The moment you identify with that feeling as real now, the outer world begins to harmonize with your inward decree. You are not at the mercy of events; you are the imagination that makes them.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Sit in stillness, assume the I AM is governing your mind, and feel the inner Kingdom as already present. Revise any sense of famine, pestilence, or quake by declaring, 'I AM that which I desire to be; peace now,' and let that reality settle into you.
