Scripture Focus

48But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;
49And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 24:48-51

Biblical Context

Plain summary: The text shows a servant who believes the master will delay, abuses others, and indulges in self-serving behavior, until the master returns to judge.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your mind, not a man, is the servant. The 'evil servant' is a state of consciousness that believes the I AM is absent or delayed. In that state you lash out at your fellow-servants (the aspects of yourself) and feast on self-indulgence. The 'lord' is your own higher consciousness, the I AM that governs your inner house. The moment you entertain delay, you cut yourself off from the presence and invite inner punishment—the 'weeping and gnashing'—as a function of your disunity with your own truth. The coming judgment is not external; it is your inner recalibration when you refuse to feed the belief of lack. When you revise and assume the reality that the lord is present now, you align your inner world with his coming. The 'portion with the hypocrites' dissolves as you stop wearing masks and simply be the presence that you are. Your power rests in present awareness, not in future arrival. The kingdom of God is your awareness; mercy is the shift from blame to responsibility.

Practice This Now

Practice: Sit quietly, declare, 'I am the I AM, present now.' Revise the scene: forgive the belief of delay and feel the master's presence governing your inner house for five minutes.
