Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus asks who is the faithful and wise servant over the household to provide meals in due season; the one found doing so when the master returns will be blessed and given authority over all his goods.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here the kingdom is not a place but a state of consciousness. The faithful and wise servant is the inner governor of your mind, the part of you that dispenses nourishment to your life in due season. The lord is your I AM presence, the higher self that returns to check the work of your attention. Meat in due season is the timely ideas, feelings, and inspirations you offer to feed your life when most needed. If you govern your inner household with calm discernment—acting from faith rather than fear—when the master returns you will be found in that service, and you will be blessed with greater responsibility over your inner goods. The blessing is the expansion of your dominion: you become able to guide your thoughts, beliefs, and imaginations, aligning them with the truth you hold. The life of your outer world follows the state you sustain inwardly. Attend to your inner service now, and your outward life will reflect that administration.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, declare inwardly that you are the faithful and wise servant ruling over your inner household, and feel the authority of feeding your life with timely, nourishing ideas at the right season.
