Awakened Awareness Against Deception

Matthew 24:4-5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 24 in context

Scripture Focus

4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
Matthew 24:4-5

Biblical Context

Jesus warns to beware deception. Many claim to be Christ and mislead.

Neville's Inner Vision

From the Neville vantage, the warning translates to an inner truth: deception lives as counterfeit states of consciousness that pretend to be you. When he says, take heed that no man deceive you, he invites you to examine the scenery of your mind with the light of the I AM. The many who would come in my name and say I am Christ are not outsiders; they are thoughts, beliefs, and identifications that attempt to usurp your inner authority. Your true self is the I AM—awareness itself, unmoved and eternal. Deception arises when you mistake a thought’s authority for the FINAL reality of who you are. So you revise by returning to the one throne within—your conscious presence. Do not chase every claimed 'Christ' across the landscape of mind; simply know that all names and claims pass in the light of your unwavering awareness. The moment you refuse to identify with a passing form, you reclaim your sovereignty and let your life be guided by inner truth, not by appearances.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and, for a minute, repeat: 'I am the I AM, the unshakable presence that knows all; no thought or claim can dethrone me.' Then step into the feeling of being the watcher who remains unmoved.
