Lightning Come: The Inner Arrival

Matthew 24:27-28 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 24 in context

Scripture Focus

27For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
28For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.
Matthew 24:27-28

Biblical Context

Jesus describes his coming as a clear, global sign—like lightning across the sky. The gathering of eagles around a carcass signals where a fixed belief or old self remains active in your consciousness.

Neville's Inner Vision

I see these words as the inner weather report of consciousness. The coming of the Son of Man is not an external arrival but the moment when your awareness declares itself as I AM. The lightning that travels east to west is the instantaneous sweep of insight across your entire mind, revealing that what you believed about you and God was only a state of imagining. The carcass—the fixed image of self you have clung to—exists wherever the old form persists, and the eagles of perception gather to feed on that pattern. Yet the sight of this gathering is not judgment but a signpost: your present state is ripe for shift. As you dwell in the awareness that you are the I AM, the old self dissolves and the kingdom within becomes visible. The coming is therefore not distant; it is your consciousness waking up here and now.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and feel the inner lightning crossing your mind from east to west. Repeat I AM as the sole reality until the sense of separation dissolves and your kingdom awakens.
