Inner Judgment Of The Heart

Matthew 23:35-36 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 23 in context

Scripture Focus

35That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
36Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
Matthew 23:35-36

Biblical Context

The passage warns that the righteous blood shed by others marks an ongoing chain of accountability, and the present generation will face the consequences of its choices.

Neville's Inner Vision

In the I AM that you are, the temple and altar are the center of your awareness; the 'blood' is the energy you have spent in fear, guilt, or resistance to truth. When you declare that others killed righteousness, you slay the Zacharias within between your inner temple and altar—your higher inspirations. The warning concerns inner consequence: the state you inhabit and the thoughts you permit fashion your experience. If you cling to blame, you build a wall in your psyche; if you instead assume you are the I AM, that all history and judgment are contained within you, you dissolve the need for punishment. All events you call external are simply movements of your current consciousness toward awakening. Transmute them by affirming the feeling that you are already the righteous one and letting the inner order reorder outer appearances. The generation is your present state; shift the inner state and the outer becomes more true to love.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes, place a hand on your heart, and imagine the temple and altar as your inner awareness. State 'I am the I AM,' feel guilt dissolve, and let your present consciousness align with truth.
