Scripture Focus

34Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
Matthew 23:34

Biblical Context

The passage states that Jesus sends prophets, wise men, and scribes; some will be killed, crucified, scourged in synagogues, and persecuted from city to city.

Neville's Inner Vision

Within you, the I AM is always sending inner prophets to enlighten your mind. The prophets, wise men, and scribes symbolize voices of inner knowing: intuition, discipline, and spiritual discernment. The claim that some will suffer persecution is not a threat from without but a sign of your old self resisting the new state you are imagining. When you entertain a higher awareness—when you imagine you are already the fullness those messengers proclaim—you will notice the old patterns attempting to cling, as a crowd resisting a new truth. Yet the act of opposition confirms that consciousness is expanding. The 'city to city' travel is the shifting center of attention inside you, moving from primal fear to a steadier, luminous witness. Do not fight the persecutors; welcome the inward messengers by assuming they are true and present within your awareness. Your I AM invites them to speak, heal, and align your outer world with your inner revelation.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes and assume you are the I AM sending inner prophets to your mind. Feel them welcomed, and revise any scene of persecution into a scene of healing and guidance already present.
