Biblical Context
Jesus cites a scripture about the stone the builders rejected becoming the head of the corner. This finds its meaning in the Kingdom of God where divine order overturns human judgment.
Neville's Inner Vision
Here the stone is a state of consciousness you have overlooked in yourself. The builders are your accustomed beliefs about what is valuable, what has authority, and what counts as reality. When you say "this is the Lord's doing" you acknowledge that the turning of events, the "cornerstone" coming to the head, is an inward act of awakening, not an outer conquest. The stone that seems rejected—your seeming flaw, your doubt, or your old limitation—fans into the cornerstone of your inner temple as you persist in the assumption that you are the I AM, the awareness that governs experience. In this language, Jesus declares that the "Kingdom of God" is a present reality built from the inner state, not external approval. So you may revise your sense of self by affirming that your rejected thoughts are not abandoned but repurposed by the Spirit to establish a new order of authority within. When you feel it as real, you experience marvelous alignment: thoughts, feelings, and events harmonize under the single consciousness that you are.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit in quiet, close your eyes, and declare, 'I am the cornerstone of my inner temple; the thought I once rejected now supports my full presence.' Feel that truth as if it already is, and linger in the sensation for a few minutes.
