Fig Tree Faith in Action
Matthew 21:18-22 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus encounters a fig tree with leaves but no fruit, curses it, and it withers. He then teaches that faith without doubt, combined with prayer, can accomplish what is asked and move mountains.
Neville's Inner Vision
Observe that these verses reveal the drama of consciousness. The fig tree stands as an image in the mind—an outer display devoid of inner nourishment. When you cling to leaves of appearance while denying the inner fruit of truth, your garden withers under a subtle curse of belief. Jesus’ act is not a miracle done on nature but a disclosure of the I AM at work within you—your awareness that says, Let no fruit grow from this state until the inner conviction is true. The mountain before you is simply a fixed belief about lack. When you assume the truth of your desire without doubting, you align your inner state with the power of imagination. Then the obstacle moves not by force but by a renewed identification with I AM, the living presence you are. Your world becomes the visible fruit of a consciousness cultivated by steadfast faith.
Practice This Now
Practice: Sit quietly, close your eyes, and assume the feeling of your wish already realized for a minute or two, repeating I AM. Then carry yourself from that conviction into your next action.
