Inner Exodus Matthew 2:15

Matthew 2:15 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 2 in context

Scripture Focus

15And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son.
Matthew 2:15

Biblical Context

The verse states Jesus remained in Egypt until the death of Herod. It then declares that this circumstance fulfilled what the Lord spoke by the prophet: Out of Egypt have I called my son. It presents the move from bondage to divine calling as a prophetic fulfillment.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through the I AM, the episode in Matthew 2:15 becomes an inner drama, not a geographical detail. Egypt stands for the dream of lack and limitation you have taken for real, and Herod embodies the fear that would destroy your sense of worth. The text says He stayed there until the death of Herod; this is the inner turning-point when the old fear dies in your consciousness and the new truth can arise. The prophecy 'Out of Egypt have I called my son' is the inner decree of God in you—the call of your true nature, your higher self, your sonship—awakening in the very heart of your awareness. When you accept that the call is not outside you but within you as I AM, events align with this inner truth. The kingdom you seek is not a distant land but the realization that you were never separate from the divine in you; you simply stepped into it by agreeing with the inner word that declares you free. Fulfillment becomes present-tense experience as you persist in the consciousness that you have been called forth from bondage by your own invincible I AM.

Practice This Now

Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and repeat, I am the Son of God, called out of Egypt now; the dying Herod in my mind symbolises fear I am releasing. Dwell in the exodus as a present reality for several moments.
