Biblical Context
Magi come into the house, see the young child with Mary, and worship him. They open their treasures and present gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within this vision, the house is your inner psyche and the child the living I AM awakening in you. The bow of the Magi is your decision to acknowledge that God is present here now, in the center of your being. The gifts—gold, frankincense, and myrrh—are inner states you claim as real: gold represents the wealth of your awareness, the value you place on the truth; frankincense is the fragrance of steadfast prayer and clear vision; myrrh signals your readiness to transform and release what no longer serves your true presence. By worshiping in imagination, you practice true worship: aligning your entire being with the awareness of God within, rather than chasing external rites. As you revise your state to one of abundant consciousness, you invite the I AM to saturate every thought, feeling, and action. The Mary-and-child imagery points to your creative center—God within—present now; this inner worship becomes your daily reality.
Practice This Now
Sit quietly, enter the inner house as the I AM, and place gifts at its feet—gold (valued awareness), frankincense (prayerful focus), and myrrh (transformation). Feel that these gifts are already yours here and now.
