Inner Star of the King Within
Matthew 2:1-2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Biblical Context
Wise men come from the east seeking the newborn King and ask where he is to worship him. The scene centers on inner recognition of true kingship, not external power.
Neville's Inner Vision
Picture the wise men as currents of desire and understanding arising in the east—call them impressions from outside, yet they are really states of consciousness alert to the truth within. Bethlehem stands for the inner birth chamber where the I AM awakens to itself as King. Herod the king represents the old ego clinging to control, resisting the worship of the inner ruler. The star, your imagination, leads you from the outer noise toward Jerusalem—the seat of your awareness—where you bow to the One you already are. When you hear the question, 'Where is he that is born King of the Jews?' hear it as, 'Where is the inner ruler whose authority you are ready to acknowledge?' The moment you choose to honor the inner king, you do not conquer anything; you simply acknowledge the self standing sovereign in your temple. The outer world aligns to the shift you have already made in consciousness, and the kingdom of God becomes a present, lived reality.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and assume you are the I AM, the King within. Visualize a bright star leading you to Bethlehem-like stillness inside, and declare inwardly, 'I AM King here and now.'
