Inner Reversal of First and Last
Matthew 19:30 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The verse teaches that in God’s order, those who seem first will be last, and those who seem last will be first. It points to an inward reversal of status within the soul.
Neville's Inner Vision
Matthew's declaration is not a history lesson but an invitation to shift your center of gravity. In the world, you may measure worth by rank or possession; in the I AM's light, the measure is intention and feeling. The first and the last exchange conditions as you revise your sense of self: you stop seeking status, and you begin trusting the inner movements of awareness. When you affirm, 'I am last in the eyes of the world, yet first in God,' you awaken the inward reversal that makes all experience conform to that choice. Pride dissolves into quiet confidence; fear becomes attentive care; ambition becomes service. The Kingdom of God is not later but now, seen by the inner eye that recognizes the I AM as the sole reality. As you dwell in that new occupancy of consciousness, circumstances reorganize to reflect your inner decree, not by removing you from the world but by realigning your world to your truth. You are invited to live from the end you desire, and the end becomes the means.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and declare, 'I am last in the world’s eyes, yet first in the sight of God.' Stay with that conviction for a few minutes, revise your self-image, and feel the inner reversal as a vivid sense of reality.
