Biblical Context

Jesus withdraws to a desert place; the crowd follows him. Moved by compassion, he heals their sick.

Neville's Inner Vision

Matthew 14:13–14 reveals the inner scene of consciousness rather than a mere event. The desert place is the quiet of the mind; the great multitude is the swarming thoughts, desires, and sensations that press upon you. When you as the I AM behold them, you are not moved by fear nor drained by effort; you are moved with compassion—the natural activity of awareness toward any hurt or limitation. This compassion is not sentiment but the healing energy of consciousness, which, when directed by imagination, reorganizes your inner body and your outer experience. The one you call Jesus is the I AM perceiving through you; his healing arises as your own awareness recognizes the divine idea of health and wholeness. The crowd's illness dissolves not by force but by the circulation of a truth you choose to inhabit. Real healing comes when you maintain that elevated state, and your inner world follows suit, aligning thoughts, sensations, and circumstances with the idea that you are already whole.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and imagine you are the I AM, quietly observing the inner crowd of thoughts and sensations. Then assume the feeling of compassionate healing and let it flow until the 'sick' state is dissolved.
