Matthew 10:8-11 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 10 in context

Scripture Focus

8Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
9Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
10Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.
11And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.
Matthew 10:8-11

Biblical Context

Matthew 10:8-11 portrays Jesus sending out disciples to heal and aid others, urging them to travel lightly and rely on inner provision, with the grace freely received being freely given.

Neville's Inner Vision

Verse 8–11 is a map of consciousness. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: these are inner movements of awareness, not feats performed on others. You are the I AM in whom all life unfolds; because you have freely received grace, you may freely give it. Do not anchor your journey to gold, silver, or gear; the workman is worthy of his meat because your inner state provides. When you enter a city, inquire who in it is worthy—look within for the readiness of belief and stay there until your thought yields changes in your world. The outer itinerary mirrors your inner revision. Practice: assume, now, that you stand as the physician of your own soul; feel the power dissolving fear, and let generosity be your natural response. As you live from this assurance, others awaken to receive what you already possess.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the healing state as your present fact: 'I AM health, I AM abundance.' Feel it fully, then let your next actions flow from that memory, trusting provision will follow.
