Confession Before The I AM

Matthew 10:32-33 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 10 in context

Scripture Focus

32Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
33But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
Matthew 10:32-33

Biblical Context

Matthew 10:32-33 teaches that openly acknowledging Jesus aligns you with God the Father, while denying him aligns you with separation from that inner state.

Neville's Inner Vision

By Neville's lights the words are not about history but about the state you occupy. To confess me before men is to acknowledge the Christ within you to your fellows; the Father which is in heaven is the inner I AM that recognizes and rewards that acknowledgment. Denying me before men means clinging to a fear based sense of separation, a state of consciousness that denies your true identity. The Father does not judge you for what you outwardly say; he responds to the inner decree you live by. When you consciously decide that the I AM is your governing principle, your outer life will reflect it, and to deny that truth will feel like a fracture of your own being. Your task is to practice the inner confession until it is felt as real, until the world becomes a mirror of your inner recognition. Remember: states of consciousness create events; you are the one imagining and being imagined into reality.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, assume the I AM is the governing mind and confess it to the world inwardly. Then feel the warm recognition as if the Father is already approving of you.
