Becoming the Inner Master

Matthew 10:24-25 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Matthew 10 in context

Scripture Focus

24The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.
25It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?
Matthew 10:24-25

Biblical Context

The disciple is not above the master; the passage urges aligning your self-concept with the inner state of the master, enduring critique by remaining faithful to that inner reality.

Neville's Inner Vision

Your master is not a person over you, but the I AM that you are. The master’s rank is a state of consciousness, not a title conferred by others. When the crowd calls the master Beelzebub, know this: their accusation merely reveals their own state, not your truth. To be a disciple is to dwell in the same inner state from which the master speaks and works. Do not chase superiority in the outer world; you are asked to become the master by becoming the Master’s likeness within your own heart. The moment you imagine yourself as separate, revise immediately: I am the I AM, and I am as my master. Imagination is the instrument by which you fashion reality; your life will bend to the inner portrait you persist in holding. Humility is not submission but recognition of your divine beginning. Perseverance in this inner alignment will soften appearances and reveal a life that mirrors the inner state you cultivate.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and declare, I am the I AM; I am as my master. Hold that inner posture for a minute and feel the I AM reality rewriting your self-image.
