Emmanuel Within: God With Us
Matthew 1:20-23 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Joseph's dream is a symbolic inner guidance; the Holy Spirit births a new consciousness, and Emmanuel means God present as your own awareness.
Neville's Inner Vision
Joseph’s dream in this moment is not history to be studied but a map of your own inner turning. The thought-filled mind becomes aware of a guidance that comes as a whisper to fear nothing and take the next step in alignment with divine life. The conception spoken of as the Holy Ghost is the inner birth of a new self, the awakening of Life as consciousness, not a bodily event. When the message declares salvation—He shall save his people from their sins—it points to the removal of old, separating identities and to the birth of a state of oneness with the I AM. And when they call him Emmanuel—God with us—the interpretation is not distant. God is the living presence within your own awareness, the I AM that does the thinking, sensing, and choosing. The fulfilled word of the prophet appears in your present experience as you accept this inner reality: God with you now, guiding, loving, restoring. This is the inner prophecy realized when imagination is used to feel the truth as fact in the now.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Sit quietly, declare 'I AM,' and picture a gentle guiding presence at your side. Allow Emmanuel to fill your heart and revise fear by feeling the truth as your present reality.
