Descending From The Mountain Within

Mark 9:8-9 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Mark 9 in context

Scripture Focus

8And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves.
9And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.
Mark 9:8-9

Biblical Context

On the mountain the vision centers on Jesus, with all others fading. They are told not to speak of it until the Son of Man is risen from the dead.

Neville's Inner Vision

On the mountain, the disciples catch sight of the one reality that never changes—the I AM they awaken to. In that moment, every voice of doubt dissolves and only the Presence remains; the world of appearances falls away into stillness. This is your inner resurrection: when attention rests in the Unity that governs all, the sense of separation vanishes. The command to tell no man what they had seen until the Son of Man is risen from the dead is not a rule about speech but a reminder of inner timing. First, birth the risen state within you, and then let outward expression follow. Practice by assuming you are already that risen being now. Feel the peace of being beyond lack, beyond time, and let the ego's urgency fade in the luminous certainty of I AM. As you dwell in this state, you will notice the outer world gradually responds to the inner revelation. Keep this quiet until the inner seed sprouts; when it does, your words will carry the truth of a life that has already risen.

Practice This Now

Practice: close your eyes, step into the mountain of awareness, and declare, 'I am risen now.' Then move through your day with that inner confidence, allowing results to unfold from the inside out.
