Mark 9:1-2

Biblical Context

Jesus declares that some among his listeners will witness the kingdom come with power before their death. Then, he leads Peter, James, and John up a high mountain where he is transfigured.

Neville's Inner Vision

Notice that the kingdom of God is not a distant event arriving to a crowd, but a shift of your own consciousness into power. When Jesus says some will see the kingdom come with power, he is pointing to a state of awareness that awakens before the body's last breath. The six days or the ascent to the mountain are symbolic of a disciplined inner period in which you withdraw from the world’s noise and enter a higher vibrational atmosphere. On that mountain your old sense of separation is transfigured; the radiance you see in Jesus is the radiance of your own I AM, the awareness that never dies. The scene is an inner revelation: as you dwell in the feeling of I AM, the world you know dissolves into light and power, and you behold the kingdom already present as your own dominion. Do not seek outward signs; imagine the inner heart becoming the sun of your life, and the power will come with it.

Practice This Now

Assume the state I AM now; revise any lack as if it never existed and feel it real by dwelling in the sense of your present kingdom power.
