Mark 7:34-35

Biblical Context

In Mark 7:34-35, Jesus sighs and commands Ephphatha, opening the man's ears and loosening his tongue, so he can speak plainly.

Neville's Inner Vision

Before the bodily miracle, the story reveals an inner act: the heavenward gaze and the sigh are cues that your consciousness is already in the realm of the I AM. Ephphatha is your own command to yourself: Be opened. When you assume this state, you loosen the cords of doubt and permit the clarity of your true speech to issue forth. Your ears symbolize your capacity to listen to the still, small voice within and to hear truth without distortion. The immediate change—ears opened, speech made plain—occurs as you identify with a single, unconditioned consciousness. The miracle is the alignment of belief and feeling with the Presence that always is. Sit with the conviction that the inner command has already completed its work. As you dwell in this awareness, outer experiences reflect the new pattern: perception unblocks, communication becomes lucid, and mercy and grace unfold as your natural response.

Practice This Now

Take a minute, close your eyes and silently say, 'Be opened.' Feel the inner channels loosening, the true listening return, and your spoken words taking on clarity as you inhabit the state of openness.
