Biblical Context
Jesus tells the woman that because of her saying, the devil is gone from her daughter. Healing follows when one declares the desired state with unwavering faith.
Neville's Inner Vision
Within the gospel drama, the capstone is a spoken decree. The woman’s saying is not a petition but a firm assumption that aligns the mind with its own I AM. The devil, in Neville’s sense, is a mistaken state of consciousness—the belief that something within you remains unhealed, separate from your awareness. When she declares that even the dogs eat the children’s crumbs, she demonstrates a consciousness that refuses lack and recognizes sufficiency; Jesus confirms that such a declaration carries the power to re-script inner conditions. So too in our lives: an inner sentence, spoken in the right key, is the lever by which you move the inner world and so the outer. The daughter’s healing appears as a ripple from that inner state; the moment you accept the truth of your own being as already complete, you awaken the healing presence and the "devil" vanishes from the scene. This is not about begging but about mind's turning back to itself—the assurance that you are the I AM and the world reflects your inner radiance.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In quiet, declare, 'This saying has freed my inner daughter,' and feel the relief as though the healing has already occurred. Then carry that feeling into daily moments.
