Walking on the Inner Sea
Mark 6:45-52 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Mark 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus sends the disciples across the sea while he prays; a storm rises and they fear. He appears walking on the water, calms the wind, and invites courage, reminding them to trust his presence.
Neville's Inner Vision
To the awake you, Mark 6:45-52 is a map of the inner voyage. The sea you sail is your own consciousness; the wind is fear patterns stirred by old thinking. When your attention, like Christ, walks toward your inner ship, the storm yields. The disciples mistook the approaching form for a specter, just as you misread your own coming peace; but the voice softly declares, 'Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.' In recognizing the I AM standing by, you invite the wind to cease—the outer becomes the inner stillness you already are. The miracle of the loaves you forgot to consider points to abundance always present, once you cease judging by appearances. Your heart, not hardened by memory but softened by faith, opens to the reality that you are one with the Presence that calms the sea.
Practice This Now
Assume you are in the boat with Christ-like awareness walking toward you; affirm 'It is I, be not afraid,' and feel the wind drop as you rest in the I AM.
