Inner Order and Presence
Mark 6:39-40 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Mark 6 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Jesus commands the crowd to sit down in orderly groups on the green grass, arranged in ranks of hundreds and fifties.
Neville's Inner Vision
Observe the scene as a parable of the inner man. The Master’s command to seat the multitude by companies upon the green grass is a portrait of how your I AM orders the contents of your consciousness. The green grass stands for grounding in present awareness; the ranks of hundreds and fifties symbolize blocks of belief that must be organized into manageable settlements. When you recognize that this seating is a state of mind, you learn that true order precedes outward experience and that alignment of feeling and thought precedes manifestation. The Presence of God is not distant; it is your own I AM, the awareness that commands and sustains. If you revise thoughts that scatter attention, you rehearse this inward seating. In that posture, miracles—clarity, guidance, favorable turning—unfold as natural outcomes of disciplined consciousness. The inner arrangement becomes the outer arrangement, and you witness unity within multiplicity, realizing that you are the one within whom God speaks and the world is organized.
Practice This Now
Close your eyes, breathe, and assume the feeling of ordered unity within. Visualize your thoughts seating themselves in neat ranks on the green grass of awareness, and declare, 'I am presence here and now.'
