Mark 6:2 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Mark 6 in context

Scripture Focus

2And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
Mark 6:2

Biblical Context

Jesus begins teaching in the synagogue on the Sabbath, and the hearers are astonished, asking where such wisdom and mighty works come from.

Neville's Inner Vision

See the scene as a mirror of your inner state. The speaker is your I AM—the awareness that can seed reality. The synagogue and Sabbath symbolize an inner temple where thoughts are formed into life. When the crowd asks, 'From whence hath this man these things?' they reveal a doubt you carry about your own power. In Neville’s view, the wisdom and mighty works are not distant favors granted from without, but movements of consciousness already present within. If you consent that you are the author of every event, your inner authority grows and imagination begins to operate as law. The astonishment of others dissolves as awareness recognizes its capacity to think, feel, and decree. So cultivate the teacher within: imagine with clarity, dwell in I AM, and feel the imagined acts as real. What you witness outside becomes the tangible fruit of your inner assumption, and the Psalms of your life become your own voice in the temple of now.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Close your eyes, assume the inner teacher state, and declare, 'I AM the source of wisdom and power.' Then feel that your words and deeds are already real.
