In the Neville Goddard lens, every external act is the result of inner states. The devils are not external beings but mistaken beliefs, fears, and limitations I have accepted in consciousness. When the disciples cast them out, they are simply removing the habit of identification with limitation, a revision of the self’s story. Anointing with oil symbolizes the awareness that I AM, the oil of consecration that sets the mind apart for healing. To anoint is to declare, in imagination, that the self I call 'I' is holy and untouched by disease, not by medicine, but by realization. When healing flows, it is the natural fruit of recognizing the kingdom of God is within. The healer is the awareness in action, moving through the body as grace and mercy, reaching every sick area, until restoration is felt as present now. This is not miracle from without but alignment with the consciousness that never fails.
