From Fear to Inner Testimony

Biblical Context
Jesus heals a man possessed by a legion, restoring him to sanity and clothing; the townspeople react with fear, and the healed man is sent to testify to his friends.
Neville's Inner Vision
Mark 5:14-20 unfolds as a parable of the mind. The possessed man stands for a life ruled by fears, memories, and outward identities—the legion of thoughts that swarm when awareness forgets itself. When the I AM enters, consciousness clothes the man in gentleness and order, and the inner storm subsides; to see him seated, clothed, and in his right mind is to witness the visible fruit of an inward decree. The crowd’s fear and their plea to depart signal how a restless collective mind resists the birth of a new state, yet compassion remains the law of transformation. The healed man’s plea to join Jesus paradoxically becomes a living message to the world: the true mission is to testify in your own circles, to broadcast the mercy you’ve tasted, not to seek external company. Jesus’ instruction to go home to thy friends teaches that the Decapolis of the soul is built by personal revelations communicated with humility. The result is salvation and redemption as a lived conviction—imagination healed, life reoriented toward mercy, and all marvel at the power of an awakened consciousness.
Practice This Now
Act: Close your eyes and assume the healed state—calm, clothed, in your right mind—and mentally tell your close ones what the Lord has done for you; then make a brief plan to share this inner testimony today.
