Seeds of the Inner Kingdom

Mark 4:26-29 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Mark 4 in context

Scripture Focus

26And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
27And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
28For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
29But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
Mark 4:26-29

Biblical Context

The kingdom of God is described as a seed sown in the earth that grows by itself; the farmer sleeps and rises as the crop matures from blade to full corn, until harvest.

Neville's Inner Vision

Viewed through the I AM, the kingdom is not a distant place but a state of consciousness you plant and nurture. The seed cast into the ground is a definite assumption you make in your own mind about how you want life to be. Growth occurs while you sleep and rise because the inner law operates beyond your rational grasp; you do not know the how, and that is as it should be. The earth bringing forth fruit of herself represents your mind’s natural activity when you allow the image to take root and develop. First the blade, then the ear, then the full corn in the ear, is the gradual appearance of your desired state as your inner certainty deepens. Do not chase explanations; trust that your assumption is already a fact and that the harvest is the inevitable result. In time, your outer world will reflect the fruit of your inner state.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Choose a concrete desire, close your eyes, and feel the wish fulfilled as if it is already true, dwelling in that certainty for a few minutes, then carry that mood into daily activity.
