Let Your Light Stand Bright

Mark 4:21 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Mark 4 in context

Scripture Focus

21And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
Mark 4:21

Biblical Context

Jesus asks whether a candle should be hidden. The point is that inner light and truth are meant to shine, not stay concealed.

Neville's Inner Vision

That question speaks to the soul's governance: your inner awareness is the lamp, and it has no business shuddering in the dark. The bushel are the habits of fear and limited belief that would smother your light. To hide it is to refuse the very mechanism by which imagination transacts with reality. The I AM within you is the candle on a stand, meant to be seen by your own consciousness first, then by your world. When you assume a state of luminous presence and refuse to barter it for doubt, you invite conditions to rise to meet your awareness. The presence of God is the living you, shining through thoughts, feelings, relationships, and events. Do not seek the light elsewhere; declare it as already yours, and act from that certainty. Trust that the seen will reflect the unseen you hold steady in mind. Trim the wick of attention with faith, not fear, and watch shadows fade as your life aligns with your inner sight.

Practice This Now

Imaginative act: Assume the state 'My awareness already shines on a high stand.' Revise any claim of darkness to truth-filled light, and feel it real by noticing one small decision that reflects your illuminated consciousness today.
