The Seed and Ground Within
Mark 4:14-20 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
The sower represents the Word planted in your consciousness. The different grounds show inner states that either let it take root or choke it.
Neville's Inner Vision
All the scenes describe states of consciousness rather than external events. The sower is your willingness to say I AM and plant a word in the soil of awareness. The by-the-road ground is a mind that hears but does not keep the seed, where doubt and distraction snatch away the impression. The stony ground stands for a reception with gladness but no root—beliefs that thrill for a moment yet offer no durable nourishment. The thorny growths are the cares, pursuits, and identifications with lack that choke the Word as it tries to grow. The good ground is a mind cultivated by steady attention, release from fear, and trusting that the Word is already planted and bearing fruit. Practice this: assume the end you desire as already true and feel it in your body as if the seed were taking root. When distraction comes, revise and return to the I AM, feeling the fruit emerging as your lived reality.
Practice This Now
Imaginative act: In a quiet moment, declare I AM the desired state and feel it as already real. Linger with the sense that the seed has taken root in your being.
