Mark 3:5 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Mark 3 in context

Scripture Focus

5And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.
Mark 3:5

Biblical Context

Jesus looks at the crowd with anger and grief over their hard hearts, then tells the man to stretch forth his hand, and the hand is restored.

Neville's Inner Vision

Consider this scene as a study of your inner states. The look of Jesus, anger and grief at hardness of heart, is the I AM naming a stubborn pattern in your mind. The command Stretch forth thine hand is not aimed at a body alone but at extending your life-energy into a new condition. When the man stretches out his hand, the movement becomes the visible sign that your consciousness has shifted toward health. The restoration of the hand is the symbol of inner wholeness now established; the body follows once the inner state has changed. You may feel anger or grief as signals of a resisted pattern, but they are not enemies to healing; they mark the path. Fix your attention on the state you desire, persist in the assumption that I AM health, and imagine the hand already healed. The act is not forcing experience but aligning with the state that makes reality unfold.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and assume the feeling of wholeness as your current state. Picture yourself extending your hand and seeing it healed, then rest in the I AM that declares I am whole.
