Read Mark 3 in context

Scripture Focus

2And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the sabbath day; that they might accuse him.
3And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.
Mark 3:2-3

Biblical Context

They watch Jesus on the Sabbath hoping to accuse him. Jesus tells the man with the withered hand to stand forth.

Neville's Inner Vision

On the level of consciousness, the crowd around Jesus represents the habit of judgment—the inner tribunal that watches to find fault and bind us to an old state. The Sabbath obstacle is not a calendar but a belief that healing must conform to a rule. When Jesus asks the man with the withered hand to stand forth, he is inviting your awareness to step into the truth you already are: a life that is not broken but only believed as such. The healing does not come by obeying the watchers but by proving, in imagination, that the self you call 'I' is complete and free from error. The accusers disappear as you realize the I AM behind every perception becomes the power that stands forth in form. Your present situation—the withered hand—represents any area of your life you have allowed to dry up through doubt. Stand forth, feel the conviction of your wholeness, and let the inner movement of healing sweep through you. The battle ends when you stop seeking permission from the crowd and begin to claim the created order of your own consciousness.

Practice This Now

Sit quietly; assume the healed state by declaring 'I am whole,' feel it in your body, and breathe as the restored you; each breath is a stand forth.
