Ascension and Apostolic Mission

Mark 16:19-20 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Mark 16 in context

Scripture Focus

19So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
Mark 16:19-20

Biblical Context

Jesus ascends to heaven and sits at the right hand of God. The disciples go forth to preach everywhere, with the Lord working with them and confirming their word with signs.

Neville's Inner Vision

Picture the scene as a truth in your own consciousness. When the Lord spoke and was received up, see it as a lifting of your state from limitation into the heaven of the I AM, where you are seated at the right hand of God by recognizing your oneness. The 'right hand' is inner authority—God-consciousness that speaks with certainty and acts with power. The apostles' mission to go forth and preach everywhere is your inner command to radiate this truth into every situation. The Lord working with them means your awareness partners with the living I AM as you choose a new belief, and the signs following are inner confirmations that your inner state is becoming outward reality. Fear dissolves, purpose shines, and events align as your conviction becomes your life. Do not seek external proof; rest in the knowing that you and God are one, and your word is lived in experience. Trust the movement—ascension first, then mission—until the world bears witness to your inner truth.

Practice This Now

Assume you are already seated at the right hand of God in consciousness. Feel the Lord working with your words as you move through your day, and watch for confirming signs.
