Stone Rolled Away Within
Mark 16:1-8 - A Neville Goddard interpretation
Read Mark 16 in context
Scripture Focus
Biblical Context
Mary Magdalene and companions come to the tomb, find the stone removed, meet a messenger who says Jesus is risen, and are directed to tell the disciples.
Neville's Inner Vision
This gospel invites you to recognize the tomb as a symbol of the subconscious mind and the stone as the limits of belief. The women move at dawn, driven by longing, yet the truth remains: the Son of Man already dwells in you as the I AM. When the messenger declares, 'he is risen; he is not here,' you are being reminded that your risen self is not bound by yesterday’s crucifixion story. The call to go tell the disciples—and Peter—speaks to claiming your own risen nature and stepping into Galilee, a new order of consciousness. Fear and awe arise as you awaken to a reality beyond appearances. In Neville’s terms, resurrection is simply a shift of state: you awaken to the living I AM, and the world follows the light of that realization.
Practice This Now
Imaginative Act: Close your eyes and assume you are already in the risen state; picture the stone rolled away and feel freedom coursing through you. Hear your inner messenger affirm, 'You are risen; you are not here,' and move with that certainty into a fresh Galilee of consciousness.
