From Denial to I AM Awareness

Mark 14:69-71 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Mark 14 in context

Scripture Focus

69And a maid saw him again, and began to say to them that stood by, This is one of them.
70And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by said again to Peter, Surely thou art one of them: for thou art a Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth thereto.
71But he began to curse and to swear, saying, I know not this man of whom ye speak.
Mark 14:69-71

Biblical Context

Peter’s denial scene shows the ego faltering under fear when faced with truth. The maid and the crowd symbolize inner doubts about who you really are.

Neville's Inner Vision

In this Mark 14:69–71 drama, Peter stands as a state of consciousness that forgets its oneness when pressed by appearances. The maid and bystanders are not external judges but inner voices whispering, 'This is one of them,' echoing a sense of separation. When Peter denies, he is not confessing a historical fact but identifying with a fear-filled role the ego loves to play. The Christ within you—your eternal I AM—remains unmoved, observing the drama with serene awareness. The power of truth is not found in changing outer voices but in shifting inner belief from separation to unity with God. To reinterpret is to see that denials reveal current identification, not final reality; you are the witness who can choose to live from the end: you are one with God, and nothing in you is outside divine life. Practically, affirm the I AM and hold that awareness as the truth of your being until it feels real in every cell.

Practice This Now

Close your eyes and repeat: 'I am the I AM,' feeling your oneness with God. Then rest in that awareness until the sense of separation dissolves.
