Inner Faith Under Trial

Mark 14:29-31 - A Neville Goddard interpretation

Read Mark 14 in context

Scripture Focus

29But Peter said unto him, Although all shall be offended, yet will not I.
30And Jesus saith unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this day, even in this night, before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny me thrice.
31But he spake the more vehemently, If I should die with thee, I will not deny thee in any wise. Likewise also said they all.
Mark 14:29-31

Biblical Context

Peter proclaims unwavering loyalty, while Jesus foresees that, under the night’s pressure, he will deny Him three times. The disciples' reactions hint at the universal struggle of faith when fear grips the sense of self.

Neville's Inner Vision

Peter’s boast is a vivid illustration of a state of consciousness—yet not a failure, but a snapshot of a self-image in tension. Jesus’ foretelling acts as a nudge from the inner I AM: the true test is not outward loyalty but the alignment of your inner identity with its perfection. The denial arises as a signal that your current belief about yourself has not yet merged with the truth you seek. If you linger in that old posture, you reproduce the scene; when you revise it, you discover the end you seek is already yours in consciousness. The inner drama dissolves the moment you reaffirm your I AM and assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled. Do not chase the crowd or wait for external proof—work within, change the state, and the outer scene follows.

Practice This Now

Assume the end now: 'I am faithful.' Feel the unwavering certainty of your I AM until it settles in the body.
